Truss Vet Columbia FAQs

Dogs come to us with all kinds of urgent health needs — from ear infections, limping, and bite injuries to vomiting, wounds, urinary symptoms, skin problems, diarrhea, and eye concerns.

Any time your dog seems off — whether they've gotten into something harmful, are trembling, or seem unusually sluggish — that's a good day to come in.
We regularly care for cats dealing with urinary trouble, diarrhea, bite injuries, skin and allergy symptoms, wounds, eye problems, and vomiting.

One thing worth knowing about cats: they're wired to conceal pain and illness. Calling ahead when you can lets our team assess your cat's situation and be ready when you arrive.
We handle urgent and sick visits that include toxin or foreign object ingestion, breathing difficulties, and bites from insects or snakes.

Come in as soon as possible, or call ahead so our team can prepare before you arrive. If the situation looks severe or life-threatening, an emergency animal hospital will be the right next step.
On-site digital X-rays and comprehensive in-house lab panels are available for fast, same-day turnaround. When a case calls for more advanced testing, we'll send samples to an outside lab.
No appointment needed — walk-ins are welcome whenever our doors are open. If you'd like to get ahead of wait times, you can also reserve your spot online before you leave the house.
Wellness and preventative care fall outside what we do here. Our team focuses entirely on urgent and sick visits, so for annual exams, vaccines, and preventative treatments, your primary veterinarian is where you'll want to go.
